This is the Classwork: Theory of Stardom blog for the Comp 3 project.
Self Reflection:
- I think this classwork was somewhat useful as it helped us apply a new theory into a case study of our choice, it gave me alot of useful insight on how essentially all aspects of an artist shown on screen is constructed which may even also account for those who try to appear as grounded or lowkey. It also taught me how these things can influence an artists relationship with the public and thier fans, and even their music works too.
- Furthermore, this classwork also made us really think on what aspects we aspects of our artists we want to show, why we want to, and how to do so. Previously we only ever considered what we want to show simply because it'll make them look favourable, now we are able to consider how it may affect the brand image, and also how to actively tie it back to our statement of intent and visions through applying it in our music video, social media, and possibly digipak.
